Mina Ramak is an Iranian-American artist based in Columbia, Maryland. Working predominantly with acrylic paint on canvas since 2020, Mina has been able to contribute her take on issues regarding human rights, focusing primarily on women’s rights globally. Being born and raised in Iran and having experienced and witnessed oppression, discrimination and crimes committed against women, her art gradually developed into a protest for basic liberties and rights for women.
Mina’s training in art consists of several drawing and illustration classes she took over twenty years ago that sparked her interest in art and led her to start experimenting with acrylic paint on canvas two decades later. Mina has been working with different media including oil paint, charcoal, and watercolor and started exploring experimental mix media painting and surface treatment techniques ever since.
